Oakland Fund for the Arts,
a nonprofit organization founded in 1996, raises money for hands-on arts education programs
in under-served Oakland (California) public schools.
Early exposure to
the arts helps children develop both artistically and intellectually.
Programs funded by Oakland Fund for the Arts place artists and cultural resources
in Oakland's inner-city schools according to need. Our
projects represent a variety of artistic disciplines, and participating
schools reflect diverse student populations and geographic areas.
